Note: Haemoncrules is a PalmOS application and will not run in the new WebOS devices from Palm unless you run it in the Classic Emulator
I have always believed in having information ready at the Point of Care and what better way to achieve this than to use a PDA. In the field of haematology and oncology, some of the predictive rules, prognostic scores and algorithms are so complex, a small computer is needed to work them out. Unless you are sitting in front of a desktop computer all the time, a PDA would be more useful for this purpose. I also find it handy as an aide-memoire even if the rule or algorithm is quite simple.
With this in mind, I created Haemoncrules to carry information and the tools which I need in my practice. As the blurb in Palmgear says, “Haematology-Oncology Rules is a collection of algorithms which compute diagnostic criteria, prognosis and aid clinical decision making in the field of Hematology-Oncology”.
Beginning version 2.3 onwards, Haemoncrules is now Postcardware or Donationware. You may download a fully functional version but there is a splash screen which disappears in the Registered version
There are two ways (you could do both if you want!) to Register

A note for Pocket PC/Windows Mobile users: you can use Haemoncrules provided you use a third party application called Styletap which will allow you to run lots of PalmOS software
