Statcoder has a new beta test program out – Consensus Algorithm for Treatment of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
This tool is based on the new ADA consensus algorithm for the management of Type 2 Diabetes, published in August 2006. Until now, there has not been a consensus algorithm for management of hyperglycemia in Type 2 DM. Of note, the new guidelines call for the immediate immediate initiation of metformin at diagnosis along with lifestyle modifications. Also included is a step-by-step algorithm for the initiation and adjustment of insluin.
